Dear Dr. Maia, We want to express our gratitude for making time for my mother on a weekend . She is a dialysis patient and is on a holiday in the Algrave region. My wife and I are on our first trip to Portugal from the US. Unfortunately, my wife popped up with a painful infection that fortunately could be remedied by a Doctor's prescription. However, we weren't sure how to get this filled. After a brief online search, we were directed to Doctorsa.com, which connected us to Dr.Maia. Within 20 minutes of going on the website, we were in a teledoc meeting with Dr.Maia, who asked a few pertinent questions to my wife, and sent 3 prescriptions to her email in box. We made a 5 minute walk to a local pharmacy, grabbed the prescriptions, and 4 hours later we are heading out for more exploring of Lisbon. Dr.Maia was extremely kind and helpful at our time of need, and he has a genuine and warm bedside manner. He kept our vacation from getting completely side tracked and we are very thankful for his help. I highly recommend him if you are in need of a Doctor's guidance.

Hi, Dr Maia was very friendly, helpful and professional.
However, we were unable to address my husband's condition, as the chemist we took the prescription to said that the injection can not be administered by a nurse and send us to the hospital. At the hospital's Emergency ward they also couldn't do it and informed us it had to be administered by an orthopedist, who was not available.
So my husband's painful condition is still present. He has taken the pain medication for the moment.
We will have to visit an orthopedist next week.
Also, it seems the script does not mention the injection/prescription is for his knee, so that caused some confusion and problem as well.
